Join SMMT, with support from the Department for Business and Trade, for a practical member webinar on the British Industrial Competitiveness Scheme.
The session explained how eligible businesses may be able to benefit from the Government’s £600 million scheme, designed to reduce electricity costs by up to 25%.
Although the scheme is due to begin in 2027, members will need to prepare ahead of time. Applications are expected to open on 1 October for a limited two-month window, making it important for businesses to understand the requirements early.
The webinar will cover:
- Who may be eligible for support
- How the application process is expected to work
- Key dates and deadlines
- What businesses should do now to prepare
- The wider work SMMT is undertaking to help the sector reduce energy costs and strengthen industrial competitiveness
Members will also have the opportunity to put questions to SMMT and DBT during the session.
The presentations will be followed by a Q&A session.
This is a member only webinar.
