SMMT Electrified 2026

Thursday 12 March 2026
QEII Centre, London

SMMT Electrified is the UK automotive industry’s leading forum focused on the transition to zero emission vehicles, bringing together senior figures from across government, manufacturing and the wider mobility ecosystem.

The event provides a critical platform to explore the policies, investment and collaboration needed to accelerate the shift to electric vehicles (EVs) and other zero emission technologies, supporting the UK’s journey to net zero.

In the midst of prevailing economic headwinds and global trade uncertainty, the UK’s transition to zero emission vehicles has recently received a timely and much needed shot in the arm. The return of consumer incentives for ZEVs, additional funding committed for charging infrastructure rollout and promised reforms to the electricity market and grid connections are expected to drive ZEV uptake.

The £2.5 billion secured for a decade-long research and investment programme, coupled with long overdue commitment through the Industrial Strategy to reduce business energy cost and the completion of several trade deals with key partners, will go a long way towards making the UK competitive again as a location for manufacturing the cleanest, greenest vehicles. There is no time to lose. A razor-sharp focus must now be trained on delivering these measures at pace and keeping the UK on the right track towards net zero.

Why attend?

As the preeminent industry summit on decarbonisation and electrification of road transport, SMMT Electrified will again bring together 450 senior representatives from industry; government; key partner sectors such as infrastructure, energy, fleets, insurance and logistics; and diverse stakeholders to discuss how we can ensure the UK’s transition to zero emission mobility becomes an unequivocal success.

Speakers will include senior executives from vehicle manufacturers, policy makers, and a host of experts from the automotive and aligned industries. We are delighted to announce that Keir Mather MP, Minister for Aviation, Maritime and Decarbonization at the Department for Transport, will provide the government keynote address at SMMT Electrified 2026.

Registration is open. SMMT members are eligible for one complimentary ticket per member organisation (subject to availability). Additional member tickets are available at a 50% discounted rate. Tickets for non-members are available to be purchased.
