SMMT’s first webinar of 2013 will take place on Thursday 24 January at 10:30 and will be based on the Automotive Council’s plans to develop an Automotive Sector Strategy.
The Strategy, due for publication by Spring 2013, will build on the work that the Automotive Council has been leading, setting out achievements to date and describing future work.
The strategy aims to:
- Develop a policy that covers the whole industry
- Secure the current strengths of the UK automotive sector.
- Improve the business environment to deliver growth in the supply chain.
- Move the sector into a low carbon future to ensure competitive advantage for the UK.
The panel will be made up of Paul Everitt, Chief Executive of the SMMT and a guest from the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills
