Tell us about Renault’s new mobile servicing vans?
We are strengthening our aftersales support for fleet customers with the introduction of new mobile servicing vans based on the multi-award-winning Renault Master.
Based on a long wheelbase/high roof body style fitted with the efficient Blue dCi 150 engine, each converted van has been fitted with a comprehensive toolkit and specialist equipment tailored for real-world mobile servicing, including almost 70 individual tools alongside electrical infrastructure, compressor systems and advanced diagnostic capability.
The mobile servicing vans are equipped to carry out scheduled maintenance and servicing, diagnostics and software updates, battery checks and filter replacements, oil, brake fluid and coolant changes, as well as minor warranty repairs. All work is completed by trained technicians using genuine Renault parts.
What are the benefits for Renault customers?
The mobile servicing vans are designed to reduce vehicle downtime by bringing expert maintenance and servicing directly to customers’ premises. By eliminating the need to visit a workshop for routine work, they help keep fleets on the road and businesses running smoothly.
The new initiative builds on Renault’s strong recent performance in the fleet sector.
In 2025, Renault Group delivered its strongest true fleet performance for over a decade, with Renault LCV ranking third in the UK true fleet market – excluding pick-ups.
The introduction of mobile servicing further strengthens this offer, providing a more flexible and convenient aftersales solution tailored to the needs of business customers.
With mobile servicing, fleets benefit from appointments at a time and location that suits them, minimising disruption to daily operations while ensuring vehicles are maintained to the highest standard.
Where are these vehicles located?
Phase one of the programme has seen seven converted Renault Master vans deployed in select UK regions including Brighton, Stockport, Oldham, Edinburgh, West London and Swansea. Renault UK’s ambition is to grow the fleet to 25 mobile units across the dealer network.
By handling a broad range of maintenance tasks away from a retailer, Renault’s dealer network can reserve workshop capacity for work that requires more specialist equipment. The result is improved efficiency for retailers, greater convenience for customers and increased uptime for businesses.
Describe the new Renault Trafic E-Tech electric van?
Built on a dedicated skateboard platform, the new Trafic E-Tech will be the first Renault Software Defined Vehicle (SDV). SDV technology lets the vehicle improve over time through software updates, adding new features, enhancing performance, and boosting reliability without changing hardware.
Designed to optimise load capacity within a compact footprint, the Trafic E-Tech electric offers load volumes of up to 5.8m³, a payload of up to 1.25 tonnes and a towing capacity of 2 tonnes. Overall height is limited to 1.90m, ensuring easy access to underground car parks, while a tight 10.3-metre turning circle enhances manoeuvrability in urban environments.
It is available in a range of different formats – chassis cab, platform cab, tipper, flatbed or cargo box.
Two battery options will be available. A long-range NMC battery delivers up to 450 km (WLTP), while an urban-range LFP battery, available at a later date, offers up to 350 km (WLTP) and uses no rare metals such as cobalt or nickel.
With its 800V electrical architecture, Trafic E-Tech electric can charge from 15% to 80% in about 20 minutes at a DC fast charger, recovering up to 260 km of range.
