How does Microlise’s fleet journey management technology help operators?

At its core, Microlise helps operators move from reactive fleet management to proactive, real-time orchestration. Our journey management technology brings together route optimisation, telematics and live operational data into a single platform, giving a complete, real-time view of the fleet.

This enables operators to respond dynamically to disruption, improve customer communication and continuously optimise performance throughout the day.

The result is greater efficiency, lower costs and more predictable service outcomes in increasingly complex logistics environments.

Describe the electronic proof of delivery solution from Microlise?

Our electronic Proof of Delivery (SmartPOD) solution digitises goods transport visibility and compliance process to create a complete, real-time record of every delivery and collection interaction. It captures digital signatures, images and delivery data at the point of delivery, providing full transparency and an auditable trail for every job.

By enabling real-time exception management and faster dispute resolution, ePOD reduces administrative overhead, increases working cashflow for hauliers while improving customer service – turning collection & delivery confirmation into a strategic advantage rather than a back-office process.

Tell us about your Automate, Visualise and Deliver product?

Automate, Visualise and Deliver is designed to simplify transport management by bringing everything together into a single, packaged, preconfigured, end-to-end Software as a Service (SaaS) platform.

Automate optimises planning and scheduling, helping operators maximise utilisation. Meanwhile, Visualise provides real-time track & trace visibility, improving operational control. Also, Deliver ensures execution accuracy through digital workflows and integrated proof of delivery, again speeding up invoicing and payment for hauliers and sub-contractors.

By replacing fragmented systems with a unified approach, the solution enables smaller operators and sub-contractors to improve productivity, enhance service delivery and scale more effectively but without needing the consultancy of more complex service deliveries.

How does Microlise technology help operators in the refrigerated transport sector?

For refrigerated transport, visibility and compliance are critical. Microlise provides real-time temperature monitoring across trailer zones, ensuring that sensitive goods are transported within the required parameters. Operators can set load temperature expectations and receive alerts if temperatures deviate from thresholds, allowing immediate intervention to protect the load. At the same time, full audit trails provide verifiable proof of compliance.

With OEM integrations – Carrier, GAH, ThermoKing – that bring refrigeration data directly into the platform, operators benefit from a simpler, more consistent approach to managing cold chain integrity.

Can you tell us about your driver safety partnership with Streamax?

Our partnership with Streamax reflects an advancement in our AI-driven, prevention-led driver safety. The solution combines outward and inward-facing AI cameras that detect distraction and fatigue with advanced driver assistance systems that monitor road conditions in real time. By integrating video intelligence with telematics data, operators gain a unified view of risk – enabling proactive intervention, faster incident resolution, and improved compliance.

Ultimately, it helps operators enhance safety outcomes while reducing risk and cost across their fleet operations. The breadth of the Microlise portfolio also enables this data to be combined with other compliance and operational data to give a much broader context to operational risk in fleet, drivers and loads than a video telematics product alone.

How important is your support for industry charity Transaid?

Transaid’s work in improving road safety and access to healthcare in sub-Saharan Africa goes hand-in-hand with Microlise’s firm belief in the power of safe and sustainable transport to drive meaningful change.

Our partnership with Transaid now spans more than a decade. During that time we have helped raise more than £250,000 and worked directly on project support in South Africa, Zambia, Malawi and Kenya. We also take part in fundraising events like annual cycle challenges, the Transaid Cup on the football pitch and the ever-popular raffle at the annual Microlise Driver of the Year awards.

This helps Transaid deliver high-impact programmes in driver training, maternal and child health and emergency transport which benefit thousands of people across the vast continent.
