Hived uses LEAP24 EV hub in London

16 Jul 2026

All-electric parcel delivery company Hived is utilising LEAP24’s ultra-rapid charging hubs, primarily the London City Airport location, to charge its electric heavy goods vehicles overnight.

LEAP24’s charging hubs have been designed with commercial vehicles in mind, offering extra-wide charging bays, easy site access and charging speeds of up to 300kW.

At its London City Airport hub, vehicles up to 12 metres long can charge comfortably, making the site well suited to the next generation of electric freight vehicles.

LEAP24 continues to expand its network of ultra-rapid charging hubs across London and the South East, providing affordable, reliable charging for commercial fleets, professional drivers and motorists.

Unlike many logistics operators that are gradually transitioning to EVs, Hived has built its operation around an all-electric fleet from day one.

By deploying electric heavy goods vehicles across its network, the company is demonstrating that sustainable logistics can operate successfully at scale today.

Safat Chowdhury, Principal Project Manager of Hived, said: “The partnership reflects a shared commitment to delivering practical, scalable solutions that support the electrification of commercial transport.

“Together, Hived and LEAP24 are helping to demonstrate that the future of logistics is not only electric, but available today.”

Pelle Schlichting, LEAP24 Chief Executive said: “Partnerships like this are key to accelerating the transition to zero-emission transport.”.
