Automated vehicle software developer Oxa and vehicle maker Bradshaw EV have announced a partnership to deliver electric automated vehicles to businesses that need on-site transportation.
Oxa will provide the software and Bradshaw will supply the vehicles. The Oxas Driver software will be integrated onto two vehicles offered by Bradshaw EV: the T800 8-tonne tow tractor and the Club Car Carryall 500 utility vehicle.
Gavin Jackson, CEO of Oxa, said, “Industrial sectors are ideally placed to benefit from industrial mobility automation, today. Collaborating with Bradshaw EV allows us to deploy our automated technology on trusted vehicle platforms like the T800 and Carryall 500 at scale.
“Together, we are providing businesses with safe, reliable self-driving solutions that directly address operational inefficiencies and challenges, unlocking significant productivity gains across various repetitive mobility and transportation workflows.”
The Bradshaw T800 is suited to off-highway light logistics applications, providing automated towing capabilities for moving goods and components around airports, large manufacturing sites, distribution centres and campuses, for example.
The Carryall 500 provides automated asset monitoring, inspection and data collection in environments such as solar farms, industrial plants, and large infrastructure sites.
Designed to improve operational performance and support preventative maintenance, this vehicle aims to eliminate the need for manual inspections and is able to operate in harsh environments and off-highway on rough terrain.
Inductive charging also means that large sites can be covered without human interaction, reducing the need for workers to be present in remote locations.
A key element of the collaboration is Oxa’s ability to use a single, common interface to integrate its self-driving technology across diverse vehicle types like the T800 and Carryall 500.
Drew Bradshaw, Joint Managing Director at Bradshaw EV, said, “At Bradshaw EV, we are constantly seeking innovative ways to enhance the value and capability we offer our customers.
“Collaborating with Oxa enables us to offer state-of-the-art automated solutions that drive efficiency, safety, and operational resilience for industrial workflows.”
The announcement follows the UK government’s confirmation that fully automated vehicles will not be permitted to operate on public roads until at least the second half of 2027.
