New campaign celebrates UK haulier key workers

Pallet-Track has launched a new campaign to celebrate the role of drivers and key workers in the CV sector during Covid-19. The ‘Hooray for Hauliers’ campaign is, said the company, to celebrate those who have kept Britain moving during the pandemic and helped overcome day-to-day challenges posed by Brexit.

It is also hoped that by raising the profile of lorry drivers in particular, the campaign can help address what Pallet-Track describes as a “dramatic skills shortage that still threatens our industry.”

#HoorayforHauliers livery will appear on Pallet-Track member vehicles from vans to trucks and an advertising hoarding campaign will run at the intersection of the M5 and M6 motorways. The public are being encouraged to share sightings of the liveried vehicles on social media using the same hashtag.

Nigel Parkes, Pallet-Track founder and managing director, said, “Rather like the clap for carers, this campaign goes out to all drivers and workers in all logistics businesses as a thank you for their tireless efforts and everyday contribution, particularly over the last 12 months – they have kept the country going by putting food on the tables and vital PPE and health equipment into our NHS hospitals, some of which has been done on a pro bono basis.”
