Isuzu confirms new D-Max 2.2-litre Diesel launch for CV Show

9 Apr 2026

Isuzu will launch its new D-Max 2.2 Diesel at the Commercial Vehicle Show this month, with UK market deliveries starting in July 2026.

Accompanied by an optional new-eight-speed automatic transmission, delivering a maximum 400 Nm of torque, the pick-up has a 1-tonne payload, 3.5-tonne towing capacity, and off-road capability.

The new 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine is the evolution of the 1.9-litre version as a larger and more efficient Euro 6-compliant powerplant.

It is available to pre-order from Isuzu UK dealers, with full product information and pricing to be announced during the show.

The New Isuzu D-Max will be available in single cab, extended cab and double cab configurations, with the introduction of a DL40 Extended Cab model providing additional load area capacity at a higher specification.

It is distinguished by a redesigned front radiator grille, front and rear lights, and a new metallic paint for the V-Cross model.

A new Driver Monitoring System (DMS) is a standard upgrade and on the DL40 and V-Cross models, the trim levels now include a new 360° surround view camera, revised alloy wheels and side-step design.

This year’s CV Show, which takes place at the NEC Birmingham from April 21-23, will also see the first public display of the right-hand drive D-Max EV model.

Alan Able, Managing Director at Isuzu UK, said: “We’re delighted to formally present the much-anticipated 2.2-litre Isuzu D-Max, with an all-new powertrain, design enhancements and additional features.

“As well as the increased torque enabled by the 2.2-litre engine, The New Isuzu D-Max retains and builds upon its exceptional reliability in commercial and rural environments.”
