The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), in partnership with the UK Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade (DBIST), is supporting a UK delegation to the 2026 World Intelligent Connected Vehicle (WICV) conference, taking place in Beijing.
The programme will begin with industry visits and will bring together key stakeholders across China’s rapidly evolving automotive technology and intelligent mobility ecosystem, providing a platform to explore opportunities for collaboration, investment and market access between the UK and China.
Programme:
- 17-18 October (weekend) – Arrival of UK delegates in Beijing.
- 19 October – Company meetings and networking dinner.
- 20 October – Company visits and potential UK-China industry roundtable activities
- 21-23 October – Participation in WICV conference activities. Companies are free to join the sessions, forums and networking events most relevant to your business interests. There may be opportunities to arrange a speaking slot within the conference programme.
Targets for company meetings will be Chinese vehicle manufacturers and CAM technology companies (to be confirmed).
