SMMT’s Global Programme: from aftermarket excellence to future mobility

The UK aftermarket industry was proudly represented on the UK Pavilion at Automechanika Frankfurt, bringing together 19 companies and showcasing the sector on a global stage. The UK Pavilion demonstrated the international appeal of British automotive expertise and the value of a strong UK presence at key global industry events. As activity in Germany draws to a close, SMMT’s international programme continues across North America and Asia.
This week, SMMT is leading a trade mission in the southeastern USA states of Georgia and South Carolina, SMMT will lead a trade mission to the southeastern United States, focusing on Georgia and South Carolina, two states that have established themselves as major centres for vehicle production, advanced manufacturing and automotive innovation. Through a programme of business meetings, stakeholder briefings and site visits, delegates will gain valuable market insight across one of North America’s most important automotive regions.
Later in the month, SMMT, in partnership with the UK Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade (DBIST) will take a delegation to the World Intelligent Connected Vehicle (WICV) Conference in Beijing. Combining targeted industry visits with participation in one of China’s leading intelligent mobility events, focusing on technology and the future of automotive.
Across Europe, North America and Asia, SMMT’s international programme continues to support UK automotive businesses with global market access across key markets.
