P&A Barton brings Danish bling to Humberside

News from Volvo: A stunning new FH has entered service with Humberside-based owner operator Phil Barton of P & A Barton.

Supplied and maintained on a Volvo Gold Contract with Uptime Assurance by Crossroads Truck and Bus at Stallingborough, Phil’s latest Volvo is customised in an eye-catching red, white and black livery that pays tribute to that usually seen on  Danish show-trucks.

The gleaming new FH-500 is Phil’s home during the week as he hauls Ro-Ro trailers, fridges and containers for DSV out of Immingham Dock.

Phil is into his ninth year of being an owner operator and has always run Volvos. His first was a ‘P’ reg. FH12-460. The FH is Phil’s first brand-new truck and he has really gone to town to individualise its appearance. Right down to the painted wheels, the ‘Danish Arrows’ on the cab roof side panels and the fine-line detailing on the side-skirts.

Steel Boys co-founder and all-round wizard of the spray gun, Andrew Cooper, created the tremendous, eye-catching paint job. In addition to the stunning exterior paintwork, Phil is planning to take the truck over to a specialist upholstery company in Padborg, Denmark in March. There, the interior will be removed and replaced with a ‘deep-button’ quilted material. This luxury treatment will even extend to the headlining, the ‘A’ post and the floor covering.
