News from Renault: Wolverhampton-based, McAuliffe Civil Engineering Ltd, a leading specialist environmental contractor, has taken delivery of its first Euro-6 Renault Range K heavy construction trucks. Four new K430.32 8×4 trucks with steel tipping bodies, supplied by Renault Trucks Midlands, went on the road in September and are replacements in McAuliffe’s ten-strong Renault and Volvo fleet.

The new Range Ks will be used in the construction business, delivering aggregates and removing waste for new home builds in the West Midlands and within a 50-mile radius.  Commenting on the decision to bring the company’s first Euro-6 Range Ks into its fleet, McAuliffe’s Director, Steve McAuliffe said, “We were really impressed with the performance of the Range K during demonstrations. In particular it has good ground clearance and great traction which is imperative in challenging construction environments.”

McAuliffe continued, “It’s early days, as the vehicles have only just gone on the road, but our drivers are already saying that they love them. They are delighted with the roomier cabs and

are commenting on the lighter steering and increased visibility. Renault Trucks really has carefully considered improving life on board for the driver as well as the vehicle’s performance and the new Range Ks are proving to be a hit on both fronts.”

Stephen Parry, Renault Trucks Midlands, said, “It’s great to hear that McAuliffe is so impressed with the new Renault Range Ks. The Renault Trucks construction range is designed with rugged components, units and solutions all of which are fully intended to meet the high demands of the construction industry. We’ve also invested significantly in the cab so that the driver’s life is more comfortable and it’s great that they are noticing and appreciating the improvements.”
