Thermo King will showcase its latest temperature control technology at this month’s CV Show.

Visitors to the company’s stand at the NEC in Birmingham can check out the new solutions offered to transporters of temperature sensitive products, which are available through a growing network of certified dealers.

The next generation DuPont Opteon XP44 (R-452A) offers a reliable and efficient refrigerant in trailer unit and a claimed 50% less Global Warming Potential (GWP). The unit performance remains unchanged, providing the same cooling capacity, pull-down and fuel efficiency but with an improved environmental performance.

Thermo King will also display its new V-200/300 Max Spectrum multi-temperature unit, designed for the retail home delivery segment, for lightweight and load space maximisation in vans and small trucks. The unit features new evaporators to improve dimensions and reduce weight for increased payload. It also enables faster temperature recovery from multiple door openings during distribution operations.

The SLXe Whisper Pro range, meanwhile, complies with the most stringent Noise Abatement Society (NAS-Piek) requirements to combine quiet operation with uncompromised performance and low environmental impact.

Visitors to the show can also view the CryoTech trailer unit, which uses recovered liquid carbon dioxide in an indirect open-cycle system, generating no new greenhouse gas emissions. The CryoTech trailer display unit will be located outside at the NEC 1 area close to Hall 3a.
