SsangYong has updated the Musso pickup with revised specification along with a new long-bed version.
The long-bed version is called the Rhino LWB and adds 300mm to the load area length. It comes with a six-speed automatic gearbox only, while the standard versions can also be fitted with a six-speed manual.
All Mussos are powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine with 181hp and 310lb ft of torque, driving through a selectable 4WD system with low range.
The standard length vehicle is available in EX, Rebel and Saracen trims, while the Rhino long-bed not only adds the extra space in the load area, but also has an increased payload of 1,140kg, compared to the 1,105kg of the regular Musso.
Short-bed models with automatic gearboxes also have 3,500kg of towing capacity, but this drops to 3,200kg for manual versions. Towing capacity for the long-bed version remains up to 3,500kg while carrying a full payload.
