Truck rental firm PT Hire has put the first of its 280 MAN new and used tractor units on the road, as the Derbyshire company expands its fleet by a third to more than 700 vehicles to meet growing customer demand.
The first five of 205 units of the TGX 26.510 6×2 tractors have already gone out to customers, featuring GX cabs and the MAN six-cylinder D26 12.4-litre engine, delivering 510 hp to Euro-6 standards.
The new TGX’s also include Emergency Brake Assist, Electronic Stability Programme, Anti-Slip Regulation, Lane Guard System and Electronic Parking Brake. The technology also features Lane Departure Warning, Emergency Brake Assist and Electronic Stability Program systems.
PT Hire’s order also includes 75 MAN TopUsed tractors, comprised of a mix of late MY2019 460 hp and 500 hp models, and New Generation 510 hp 26.510’s.
The first of these are currently with MAN Truck & Bus Gateshead undergoing preparation, once complete these will join the PT Hire fleet offering.
The rental company’s fleet now exceeds 700 vehicles, all of which are MANs, including 7.5-ton TGL, 18-ton TGM and 26-ton TGS rigids, and 44-ton TGX tractor units.
