UK automotive excellence showcased at Advanced Engineering Summit

Today, government is holding a Global Business Summit on Advanced Engineering that will offer international business leaders the opportunity to gain invaluable insights about the UK’s world-class capabilities in this high-growth sector.

The Summit features a number of conferences and seminars, break-out sessions, networking events and receptions for an invited audience of entrepreneurs and captains of industry within the Advanced Engineering field.

SMMT Chief Executive, Paul Everitt, is joining the Summit for the session on Future global technology trends, along with other sector representatives including Graham Smith OBE, Executive Adviser to President, Toyota Motors Europe and Professor Richard Parry-Jones, CBE, Co-Chair UK Automotive Council.

Opening with a Ministerial keynote address, the Summit includes senior representatives of major global companies such as Jaguar Land Rover, JCB, McLaren Racing and Nissan who are participating in panel-led discussions about the strength of the UK as a trading partner and the investment location of choice.

This will be followed by case studies highlighting key examples of collaboration between industry and academia in the development of technical solutions and excellence, and interactive sessions on the challenges, processes and outcomes required to deliver solutions in Automotive and Aerospace.

In attendance at the event will be leading political figures from the UK government and a number of British Business Ambassadors, offering delegates an unrivalled opportunity to engage with key decision makers and influencers at the highest level.
