Specialist secure haulage operator Forward Trucking Services has added 10 Krone Dry Liner box trailers to its fleet. The Hertfordshire based company will use the models for its secure mail contract with DX Group.
Trunking overnight from 11 UK locations to the company’s Nuneaton hub, the Dry Liners will carry parcels and documents for the DX E – B2B document exchange and DXS – secure mail service.
“We have been providing a secure delivery service for DX for 22 years”, said Barry Simmonds, Forward Trucking General Manager, “and recently we needed to upgrade the old trailer fleet. We turned to Krone as it could provide the specification we needed but also, we took delivery in seven weeks from order. We needed to move quickly and no one else could get close to this lead time.”
The Dry Liners are certified to meet the European load safety standard, DIN EN 12642 (Code XL) and come with a 10 year paint guarantee, high security aluminium roller shutters, Krone’s full load locking system and integrated LED internal lighting.
Added Simmonds: “We reviewed the market and this product certainly looks like the best available in terms of quality and will be more than able to provide the safety and security which is paramount for this contract.”
