Coastal Coaches in Blackpool has completed a renewal of its bus fleet with the delivery of five new Optare Solo vehicles.
The new buses have all entered service on routes around Blackpool, rural Fylde and Lytham St Annes.
The family-run business has used Optare vehicles since 2003, and has found the 7.9m, 27-seat Euro-5 Solo perfect for its routes. Coastal Coaches runs the slim-line model Solo, which is 16cm narrower than the regular-width model.
“The routes these vehicles service are quite narrow in places, so the slim-line Solo is ideal for this purpose,” said Bill Holder, owner at Coastal Coaches.
“We have operated Solos for many years and have been extremely happy with the performance of the vehicles. We have found them to be economical and reliable and they have been extremely well received by our customers and drivers alike.”
