One of the biggest independent builder’s merchants in North Wales and the North West of England has added three DAF loaders to its 80-strong mixed truck fleet.
Thorncliffe Building Supplies has taken delivery of two DAF LF 18T Skip Loaders and one DAF CF 32T Hook Loader, which will be used for waste management and skip hire services.
The vehicles, which feature a Boughton body and AS-Tronic gearbox, were supplied by DAF dealer North West Trucks.
Tim Harper, Director at Thorncliffe Building Supplies, said the firm’s drivers had been impressed with DAF’s gearbox and level of driver comfort when out on the road.
“The DAF product has the most driver appeal,” he said. “As a British company we believe it’s important to buy British and British made products.
“We specified our DAFs with Boughton equipment thanks to their long-standing heritage in the UK.
“North West Trucks availability meant they were able to supply us with the vehicles we needed without the long lead times which is great for our business.
“We buy from people and the customer service and back up assistance we have received from North West Trucks has been excellent.”
