A new Irizar Integral i6s Efficient coach has gone into service with returning customer Nigel and Kim’s Tours of Westbury.
The 14-metre, 42-seat tri-axle coach is propelled by DAFs MX13 390kw, OBD-E Euro-6 engine, with an output of 530hp, and is coupled to ZF’s Traxon, 12-speed automated gearbox.
It replaces a 2015 Irizar Integral i6 as the company’s only coach.
Passenger seat back and cushion laterals are leather-trimmed, and the seats are fitted with T-type footrests, magazine holders, and seat-back tables.
Other passenger refinements include blue aisle lights, USB charging points, and a rear servery supplied by AD Coach Systems.
There are also extra-tint windows, chrome vinyls, and exterior LED lighting.
Launched in 2022, the i6S Efficient is based on the Integral platform and sees a reduction of 900kgs on the previous model, achieved mainly through a transition to using high-strength steel and modern composites.
An optimised layout also helps achieve greater internal space.
Aerodynamic coefficient has seen a reduction of 30% and combined with the weight saving and other adjustments results in a 13% reduction in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.
