A vacancy now exists for an Events and International Administrator on a job share basis in the Communications and International Department. The role would be structured as two part-time (50%) roles with a cross over day on a Tuesday where both work together.
PURPOSE OF POST:
- To support the Communications and International department in the promotion of SMMT and the UK automotive industry, and in member recruitment and retention through a programme of national and international events.
- To provide administrative support for the International and Events teams.
QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS / ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED BY JOB HOLDER:
Organisation and administration

- Ability to multitask
- Able to use Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook. Desirable if able to use Salesforce, Cvent and Zoom webinars but training will be provided if not

- Ability to work in a team and on own initiative

MAIN DUTIES INCLUDE:
Administration
- Maintain and oversee administration processes and tasks for projects and the team including but not limited to budgets, databases, metrics, meeting co-ordination, travel, event set up and on the ground support.
Project support and communication
- UK Events – support with planning and debriefing of UK events and activities.
- International projects – support with planning and debriefing of international activities.
- Sponsorship – support the Events and International teams with sponsorship processes.
- Account management – support project managers with their member accounts.
- Marketing – support the teams with marketing.
- International Update – collate and send the monthly newsletter in collaboration with the team.
- Software and apps – support the teams with event apps and software used for events (training will be provided).
- Meetings – organising, attending and taking notes for meetings and committees.
