- Bus and coach rolling year figures down 10.8% but up on past four months
- Year-to-date figures still below trend except for midibuses, which are up 26%
‘Though the apparent improvement in June bus and coach registrations is welcome’ said Christopher Macgowan, SMMT chief executive, ‘the figures remain at a five year low. Also, the figures were affected by changes to the phasing of deliveries to some larger operators. This makes it difficult to draw firm conclusions about the immediate future, though we think some recovery may be possible by the end of the year.’
