EATS has global appeal

12 February 2001 #SMMT News

The high level of interest being expressed from overseas has fully justified the SMMT’s decision to add the word ‘European’ to the title of the UK’s premier automotive trade fair. Exhibitors and visitors for the European Automotive Trade Show are already promised from a long list of regions including Australia, China, France, Germany, Holland, Italy, South America and Taiwan. This year there will be more overseas exhibitors than ever in the history of the Show since the shows origins in the 1970s.

The fast growing catalogue of those taking stand space stretches from Advanced Maintenance Chemicals to ZF and includes such varied names as Brembo, Delco Remy, Motaquip, NGK, Quinton Hazell, Tridon Europe and TRW.

The SMMT is also promoting the exhibition throughout the world. A full colour advertising campaign is currently running in 17 overseas countries including Canada, Russia, South Africa the USA and most European nations. The advertisement proudly proclaims that the combined European Automotive Trade Show 2001 and InterTyre 2001 ‘promises to be to be the largest automotive trade

show to be held in the UK.’

The European Automotive Trade Show 2001 is the leading exhibition in the automotive aftermarket. Organised by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, it takes place at the NEC, Birmingham between 29 April and 2 May 2001.
