SMMT is to hold an e-Business seminar at Coventry TechnoCentre
on 4 July. The half-day event, aimed at business managers, will examine the
issues faced by OEM suppliers and offer advice on how companies can take advantage
of the e-Business revolution.
E-market places, such as Covisint will be explained and a
series of presentations on the European Exchange Network (ENX) will focus on
its advantages over the Internet. There will also be a special presentation
by Ford on the use of Electronic Data Interchange and how suppliers can save
time and money using this technology.
Unique to this event will be real case studies. Presentations
will demonstrate how suppliers have benefited from e-Business in practice. Federal
Mogul, Ricardo and Covisint, among others, are scheduled to present and the
event will be chaired by SMMT chief executive Christopher Macgowan.
The full programme is available (on this web site) where delegates
can also find an on-line booking facility.
