Information in the SMMT Motor Industry FACTS 2002 booklet says that blue is the most popular colour for cars on UK roads, closely followed by red.

The information, taken from SMMT 2000 Motorparc data gives a detailed outlook on just what we British drive. The data suggests that the car in front of you is most likely to be UK-built, between one and three years old, with an engine size of 1900 – 2000 cc, driven by a man aged between 30 and 39.
