- August motorhome market up 13.5 per cent
- Year-to-date registrations up 26 per cent
- 2003 market on course to become highest ever, 7,200 registrations expected
- Motorhome market has risen every month this year
Commenting on the new motorhome registrations data, SMMT chief executive Christopher Macgowan said, ‘The motorhome market has been a resounding success in recent years. Volumes have moved from strength to strength and we appear well on course to reach a record high in 2003. Record monthly totals have been recorded in six of the first eight months of the year. These types of vehicles are appealing to an ever growing fan base and have succeeded to carve out a sizeable UK market.’
