As doors open for the 2004 Commercial Vehicle and Automotive Trade Shows in Birmingham, SMMT is once again using the opportunity to help promote the industry on the international stage.
Europe’s biggest business-to-business commercial vehicle and logistics show already offers unparalleled business opportunities. Now visitors will have the chance to hear how they can develop international partnerships by talking to members of the Society’s International department on the SMMT stand.
To coincide with the show’s first day, the team will be holding its regular International Business Group Meeting at the Birmingham Chamber of Commerce. Focusing on the Chinese automotive market, the event will provide guests with information and advice on the latest developments in the world’s fastest growing market.
Mark Norcliffe, SMMT’s Head of International commented, ‘China is becoming increasingly important and offers a wealth of opportunities to UK businesses. Over the last decade, SMMT’s activities have fostered key business relationships built on years of international experience. Events like the CV Show help us to take that message to more companies in the UK industry.’
Although the International Business Group Meeting is fully subscribed, international trade experts will be on hand at the SMMT’s CV Show stand to give advice on future events and opportunities in emerging global markets.
