‘CV registrations in January continued where they left off last year, well above the long-term average’ said Christopher Macgowan, SMMT chief executive. ‘The total dipped in the second half of last year but we expect some growth in the next 12 months, with continued and broadly based demand for commercial vehicles. Confusion over digital tachographs distorts truck demand and the introduction of the Euro 4 emission standard later this year will continue that trend.’
