SMMT Summit: Expert used car panel now complete

15 June 2010 #SMMT News

The panel of used car experts at the SMMT International Automotive Summit is now complete. Peter Cottle, the Managing Director of Finance Torque, will discuss ‘Opening the door to wholesale and consumer finance’.

Peter’s presentation will be a ‘must’ for any used car retailer attending the Summit. Where are the most attractive packages for consumers and retailers to be found? How restricted will consumer credit be going forward? How can retailers responsibly help customers finance their purchases? Where can retailers look to fund their stock without tying up other assets as security and how best can they present their case to a prospective financier?

These questions are vitally important for anyone working in used car retail and we can’t think of anyone better placed to provide answers than Peter, who has over 30 years’ experience in the motor finance industry.

Speaking alongside Peter will be Rob Barr of Manheim. Rob’s topic is ‘Addressing the looming shortage of used vehicles’. The third speaker is Adrian Rushmore of Glass’s, who will answer the question ‘Where next for used car prices?’.
