The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders has announced that Antony Sheriff, Managing Director of McLaren Automotive, will be one of the headline speakers at the 2011 SMMT International Automotive Summit.
Sheriff will speak on the plenary panel, ‘The changing face of car retailing’, and will explain why McLaren Automotive chose to adopt a franchised dealer network to sell its ground-breaking supercar, the MP4-12C.
Antony Sheriff joined McLaren Automotive as Managing Director in 2003. His responsibilities encompass the design, development, manufacture and distribution of the company’s current and future road cars. Prior to joining McLaren Automotive, Sheriff worked for Chrysler, McKinsey and Company and Fiat Auto in Italy, rising to the position of Vice President Marketing for Fiat in 2002.
McLaren’s MD joins an exciting list of speakers that includes Stephen T Odell, Ford Group Vice President and Chairman and CEO of Ford of Europe. The Summit takes place on 28 June in Westminster, London.
