VWG’s new waste initiative with SWR (Specialist Waste Recycling) can recycle up to 95% of waste produced at bodyshops. This delivers cost savings to the bodyshop and can annually save the equivalent of 61 tonnes of CO2 from each site through recycling their waste (saving compares recycling to manufacture of virgin material).
At the end of 2012, over a third of the VWG approved body shops had the new disposal arrangements in place.
