Toyota has launched a student placement scheme designed to draw young talent into its UK operations, covering its headquarters and two manufacturing plants.
Undergraduate work experience placements are on offer in a variety of areas at the firm’s head office in Epsom, Surrey, which houses its sales and marketing activities.
Meanwhile, Toyota’s manufacturing outfit is searching for students to fill an 11-month industrial placement scheme at its plants in Derbyshire and Deeside. Participants will enrol in a number of activities throughout the period, with the possibility for outstanding performers to be invited back for a full graduate training programme.
Toyota will also have a presence at university job fairs around the country over the next two months, giving students the chance to explore future employment opportunities within the company. The programme is as follows:

- 16 October – Birmingham University
- 17 October – University of Bath
- 22 October – Loughborough University
- 23 October – Aston University
- 24 October – University of London (Imperial College)
- 30 October – Reading University; Lancaster University
- 5 November – Sheffield University
- 6 November – Aston University; University of Kent
- 21 November – Nottingham University
