The automotive world is well represented in the 2014 New Year Honours list. The following people have been recognised:
- Andy Palmer, Executive Vice-President of Nissan Motor Company is recognised in the overseas and Commonwealth list and becomes a Companion of the Order of St Michael and St George (CMG).
- Carol Holden, Chief Executive of the Northwest Automotive Alliance becomes an OBE.
- Rachel Eade, Automotive Supply Chain Specialist at the Manufacturing Advisory Service becomes an MBE
- Iain Gray, CEO of the Technology Strategy Board becomes a CBE.
- Peter Luff MP – Member of Parliament for Mid Worcester and long standing member of the All-party Parliamentary Motor Group is Knighted after many years of public and political service.
