Fuller Tankers and Van Hool tie up after 2013 CV Show

Fuller Tankers has been appointed the sole UK distributor for Van Hool tankers and trailers.

The two companies first met at the CV Show in 2013 and now Fuller Tankers is getting ready to represent the brand at the 2014 event.

Fuller will have tankers and trailers from the food, ADR and container specialist on display in Hall 5 at the NEC (29 April-1 May) as well as in the atrium area.

Fuller Tankers Managing Director Nathan Jones said, “They approached us at the Show and said they needed a good service from someone that was well-established in the market.

“They’ve never really had a good presence in the UK, and I think there’s a really good opportunity for them here. It’s great that the CV Show brought us together and made for some good news.”

Fuller Tankers is a dab hand at vacuum waste applications, so the tie-up with Van Hool is a neat fit for the two builders with no overlap in target markets.

It could also be an opportunity for Fuller Tankers to win some export orders, but while Van Hool is interested in its applications it also has no experience with the kind of chassis builds the Chepstow company provides.

“They even build their own chassis for their buses out in Belgium, but if someone expresses an interest in a rigid then anything’s possible,” says Jones. Hopefully that could be more good news for the 2015 CV Show?
