News from MAN: Turkmen Oil and Gas Construction has placed an order for 61 MAN TGS WW off-road vehicles.
The heavy-duty tippers are to be used in road construction work being completed to allow access to oil and gas reserves in the west of Turkmenistan.
The MAN TGS WW trucks are equipped for deployment in conditions of extreme heat, as summer temperatures in Turkmenistan can reach up to 60 degrees Celsius.
The 61 tipper trucks all have a power rating of 360 HP and a gross
permissible weight of 33 tonnes. With two driven rear axles, these 6×6 all-wheel drive vehicles are especially suitable for use as heavy-duty tractors.
MAN will be delivering these off-roaders from May onwards. The local importer is assuming responsibility for maintaining the vehicle fleet in Turkmenistan. The quick repairs and supply of parts in such an isolated region played a major role in the choice of the MAN TGS WW.
