Facilities maintenance contractor Riggotts, has announced it will fit Lytx  DriveCams systems to its fleet after a successful trial.

The news comes following the firm’s observation of significant improvements to driver safety, including a reduction in the number of collisions when using the DriveCam system.

Darren Riggott, Managing Director for Riggotts, said, “The safety of our drivers and that of other road users around us has always been our number one priority.

“That philosophy led us to trial the DriveCam Programme to see if we could improve the driving standards of our drivers. It was a real eye opener to see what the programme revealed, but more importantly, how well it could work for us.”

Using the expert review and best practice driver coaching programmes the Nottinghamshire-based facilities company noticed a reduction in collisions in the first few weeks of the trial.

Lytx, formerly known as DriveCam Europe, is delighted by the reaction to its driver safety programme, and believes that technology can be a large influencer in changing human behaviours and making good companies better.

Paul Jones, UK General Manager for Lytx, added, “We don’t give our customers data, we give them insights and tools to proactively manage risk and improve driver safety and performance.

“Drivers are safer, while companies using Lytx also benefit from lower operating and insurance costs and improved safety performance year after year.”
