Forklift manufacturer Manitou has launched its new TMM range of masted telescopic truck-mounted forklifts.
Unveiled at the 2014 CV Show, the TMM range comprises four models which will sit across the industrial and rough terrain segments. Manitou claims that the range is lighter than other models, reducing the load on the carrying trailer.
The TMM20 industrial model has a carrying capacity of two tonnes at maximum height, while the rough-terrain TMM25 can manage 2.5 tonnes. Both variants are available in four-way guise, ideal for handling long loads in a confined space.
All four versions of the TMM are powered by the same 26.5kW Kubota engine, and come with stabilisers as standard. A key feature of the range is the multi-brand mounting kit, which gives the forklifts flexibility to attach to different types of trailer.
Also standard on the TMM is a hydrostatic transmission and all-wheel braking capability, giving it an edge over many rivals, which brake the front wheels only.
Manitou entered the telescopic truck-mounted forklift market in 1995, and has been a market leader ever since.
Manitou is exhibiting at the 2014 CV Show and can be found on stand 4G121.
