News from DAF: With a range of off-road models specifically tailored for the tipping and construction industry, DAF is proud to be showcasing the latest examples of its new CF and LF Euro-6 Construction range at Tip-Ex 2014, the national exhibition for the tipping industry, in Harrogate from 29 to 31 May.

To demonstrate the diversity its CF and LF Construction models, DAF will have one example of each at the show – a 32 tonne, 8×4 CF400 Euro-6 FAD Construction and an 18 tonne, 4×2 LF250 Construction – both with tipper bodies.

In addition, as a contrast, DAF will also have a CF400 FAD designed for on-road use available to view on the neighbouring Edbro stand (OS8-12).

DAF Construction models are designed with higher ground clearance (40cm for the CF and 32cm for the LF), robust front bumpers and an increased approach angle of 25 degrees (both models) for customers who need a vehicle that regularly drives off-road carrying sand, cement or timber for the building or timber industries.

The new DAF Euro-6 construction models are more cost-effective to operate thanks to the latest, efficient PACCAR engines which all comply with the latest Euro-6 emissions regulations. As well as all-new exteriors, all models also have new interiors enhanced to maximise driver comfort and convenience.

The CF Construction offers two engines, a 10.8-litre with up to 440bhp, or a 12.9 litre with up to 510bhp, while the smaller LF Construction, which has the smallest turning circle in its class, has a 6.7-litre unit with up to 310bhp.
