News from Fortec: Fortec Distribution Network believes it is the first pallet network to become an Associate of Transport for London’s (TfL) Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS).

FORS is an accreditation scheme that aims to improve fleet activity in London and throughout the UK and beyond. Demand for freight transport is projected to increase by 15% by 2025.

Gaining Associate status demonstrates Fortec’s commitment to sustainable distribution in London initially, but FORS will be promoted throughout the entire network as a part of its continuous improvement plan.

Chris Dennigan, Network Support Manager at Fortec said, “We are delighted to have been awarded FORS Associate status which shows our commitment to raising the standards of safety and sustainability on the roads.

“Fortec is renowned for its high standards of service and has always been at the forefront of developments. Becoming a FORS Associate is a logical step, demonstrating that we want to help traffic in London run more smoothly and safely.”

With 72 members across the UK, Fortec Distribution Network is one of the leading networks in the country and has experienced a surge in business in 2014.
