Purpose of the Post:
- Provide support and account management to Supply Chain members
- Support development and execution of Supply Chain engagement and recruitment campaigns
- Support development and delivery of Supply Chain projects (SMMT, Automotive Council, AMSCI)
- Represent and promote SMMT products and services to key stakeholders
Qualifications/Skills/Attributes required:
- Honours Degree or equivalent
- Experience of working within a project environment
- Experience of supporting and executing campaigns
- Experience of working in the automotive sector would be advantageous
- Excellent communication skills – written and oral; including public speaking
- Excellent interpersonal skills – confident, articulate with a persuasive manner
- Highly motivated and target orientated with clear focus on high quality customer satisfaction and project deliverables
- Creative and innovative with the ability to work under pressure and meet targets – able to step up to the challenge when required.
- Able to understand a wide range of business issues and metrics as well as basic business finance.
- Have a positive and enthusiastic approach to team-working with a strong sense of shared objectives and common goals
- Must be diplomatic and tactful
- Well presented and businesslike
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet.
- Flexibility, willingness to learn, be involved and adapt
- Ability to multi-task and work effectively on different projects and campaigns
- Self starter with a pro-active approach and possesses a strong sense of initiative
Main duties include:
- Support the development and execution of engagement, recruitment and retention campaigns targeted at supply chain companies.
- Support the development and implementation of supply chain projects and proactively participate in both SMMT and Automotive Council projects.
- Support the development and implementation of AMSCI and other supply chain related programmes.
- Working with the team, actively recruit new members and help achieve membership growth against annual targets.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key supply chain members offering first class account management and ensuring we maximise member satisfaction and retention.
- Ensure active and wide engagement with SMMT and member organisations – helping to establish a many to many relationship within each company (ensuring numerous senior active contacts within each organisation).
- Maximise members’ usage of SMMT products and services including participation in relevant events, committees and project groups.
- Arrange regular visits to member and prospective members and conduct meetings with key personnel responsible for interaction with SMMT.
- Develop comprehensive profile of the business issues and needs of each key membership account.
- Conduct research and provide reports on supply chain / industry trends and key developments
- Provide administrative support for SMMT Supply Chain Group and other supply chain related activities.
- Support other projects as required.
