News from Renault: East Midlands Renault Trucks distributor RH Commercial Vehicles has supplied a Leicester based company with a new CK 8×4 truck in time for their silver anniversary next year.
Newgem was established in 1990, and specialises in dry stone and tarmac deliveries across the East Midlands from its site on Townsend Lane in Coalville.
After recently taking on a limited company status, Newgem have invested £106,000 in the new Renault CK, with plans to purchase another in October. This ensures that the vehicles in their fleet are of the highest efficiency and quality.
Graham Middlebrook, a Partner in Newgem, commented on the new addition to the fleet of nine trucks, “When it came to replacing one of our trucks, RHCV were on hand to give us the most suitable truck for our requirements.
“Renault’s new range of CK trucks fulfils our needs perfectly – they really have listened to the customer. A lighter tare weight and greater ground clearance make it a much more comfortable ride. Our drivers are also enjoying the larger cab space, another fantastic adaptation.”
Newgem purchased the truck from RHCV’s Leicestershire base at Cossington. RHCV has sites in Nottingham and Leicestershire, with their newest site in Derbyshire only a year old.
Simon Bailey, Sales Manager at RHCV, said, “We’ve been working with Newgem for two and a half years now. Before, they were totally against buying French trucks. But by the end of this year over half of their fleet will be Renault. This really is a testament to the excellent quality of the trucks that customers consistently respond positively to.”
