News from Volvo: A total of ten new Volvo B11R coaches with Jonckheere bodywork are the latest additions to the fleet owned by Park’s of Hamilton, one of Scotland’s leading coach companies.

Supplied in 53-seat format, the new coaches are being used for a wide range of purposes, including private hire, UK and continental tours. Each coach features the latest in luxury for customers including reclining seats, TVs, hot drink servery and fridge, air conditioning and an on-board toilet for the additional comfort and convenience of passengers.

Park’s of Hamilton was founded in 1971 and is a long established customer of Volvo, as Director Michael Andrews explains, “We’ve been selecting Volvo for more than 40 years and are familiar with the high standards and quality of their vehicles and the support and back-up we receive in terms of aftermarket care is great.  We therefore had no hesitation in turning to them again for our latest requirements.”

Volvo Bus Sales Consultant, Brian Walker, added,  “Our relationship with Park’s of Hamilton goes from strength to strength and we’re obviously delighted they’ve taken these ten new B11Rs as the latest additions to their fleet, which follow on from the ten B9Rs they purchased from us last year.

“The Volvo B11R chassis is widely recognised for its unrivalled quality and technical specification for operators as well as giving excellent service and comfort for their passengers. This continued business is testament to our relationship and the confidence they have in Volvo, our vehicles and standards of service.”

The B11R is at the centre of Volvo’s next generation of coaches and the key features and benefits include the renowned Volvo i-Shift transmission, automatic function check and trouble-free maintenance.  It also benefits from a range of Volvo’s well known safety features, such as the powerful EBS controlled disc brakes and a multiplexed electronics system.
