News from Renault: London-based L. Lynch Plant Hire and Haulage Ltd, one of the UK’s leading plant hire companies, has taken delivery of a new Renault Range C-520 6×4 80t GVW complete with a Fassi F660RA crane.
The Range C is a bespoke addition to Lynch’s 150-strong Renault, Volvo and DAF haulage fleet. The relationship with Renault Trucks London and the vehicle’s performance, especially during test-drives, were the key factors in Lynch’s selection.
The new Renault Trucks Range C will be based in Lynch’s London depot and will work on new ventures with rail construction companies across the UK including moving 60ft rail. Commenting on the decision to bring the new Range C on board, Lynch’s Transport Manager Keith Talbot, said, “With the UK expanding its rail network, including HS2, Lynch wants to be one step ahead of the competition. With such a unique and specialist vehicle in our fleet, I believe we are the first plant hire company offering one of this type.”
Talbot continued, “As an ex-driver myself, I know what I’m looking for and although I haven’t personally bought Renault Trucks before, I have been really convinced by the new range which I think has been much improved. When we tested the new Range C, we were particularly impressed by the new gearbox, the traction and grip; the Renault just kept ploughing on regardless. In fact we have been so impressed, Group Transport and Service Manager, Stephen Bremner has added further purchases to the already strong Renault fleet of vehicles, with an order bank in the region of an additional 80 plus Renault Trucks. Renault is always on hand to assist in any rectification works any time of the day, with aftersales staff from director down assisting us in our product utilisation. The new Euro-6 vehicles, are meeting our demands from 32t tippers to the new Tractor units.”
