News from Scania: Peter Ross, currently Scania National Used and Export Sales Director and Regional Executive Director (RED) for Scotland, is to concentrate on the used vehicle market following the appointment of Sandy Millar, who from 3 November will take on Peter’s RED duties.  With his focus now solely on the used vehicle market, Ross’ brief will be to further develop and build Scania’s presence in the UK and export used vehicle markets.

“The remarketing of a continuous flow of high quality used Scania vehicles represent a long-time success story for us,” comments Scania Great Britain Managing Director, Claes Jacobsson. “We are a major player in the field today and much of our success to date is a direct result of Peter’s input, backed by the skills of the nationwide team of used vehicle sales specialists he has helped develop.  With Peter concentrating full-time on the service we provide to used vehicle buyers, both at home and abroad, I am confident our used sales operation will now go from a position of strength to an even higher level in terms of its scale, scope and reach.”

With a total of 92 points on the UK map, Scania offers a comprehensive used vehicle service to operators nationwide.  The company also provides a complete export service for purchasers around the world.

Sandy Millar began his career in the commercial vehicle industry in 1979.  In the late 1980s he joined Reliable Vehicles Limited, Scania’s distributor for Scotland at the time, where he enjoyed a career in sales, rising from the position of Sales Executive at the company’s Newbridge branch to Sales Manager at its head office in Renfrew.  Subsequently, Sandy went on to occupy a number of senior roles at MAN, from where he rejoins Scania.
