DVSA has confirmed that it will produce a series of guides concerning CV load securement.
This follows a consultation with industry earlier in the year, where the Agency noted that respondents ‘were generally very positive about the prospect of some useful guidance.’
Three different guides are planned, including an operator’s guide, a pamphlet for drivers as well as a series of instructional videos. Production of the written guides is nearing completion and video production will take place shortly at the Health and Safety Laboratory in Buxton.
Subjects for the videos were chosen from feedback following the consultation period. However, the Agency says that there is scope for producing more. “We will keep you up to date with developments and still welcome any ideas on what you would like to see covered” noted a poster on DVSA’s Moving On blog.
