News from Katem Logistics: North East haulage firm Katem Logistics are doing their bit to raise awareness for the George Bertie Johnson Charity with their new ‘Team George’ livery.

The family run haulage firm recently added the new SDC curtainsider to their growing fleet of over sixty trailers. The livery aims to raise awareness of the Team George charity throughout the UK and Europe and raise funds in order to help further George’s diagnosis in America.

Four year old George Johnson suffers from a rare motility condition which means that he can’t eat or drink and is currently fed directly through his heart. George has spent the majority of his life at Great Ormond Street Hospital, but with little progress his parents are now raising money to fund medical costs in America in a bid to further his diagnosis and treatment.

Katem Logistics Managing Director Graham Simpson, said, “We were touched by George’s story and wanted to raise awareness of their campaign to help him and others in his position. We opted for white livery instead of the traditional Katem blue to make it stand out more and the picture of George will make it recognisable in towns and cities across the country. I hope that people will donate generously when they read the Team George story.”
