News from Renault: MP Moran and Sons Ltd has taken delivery of four Renault Range C320 6x2s and two Renault 125hp 3.5t Renault Masters with curtainside bodies.
They join MP Moran’s growing fleet of over 50 vehicles, which is now exclusively Renault over 3.5 tonnes. The Range Cs, with 2.3m day cabs equipped with optional nearside vision door for greater visibility of cyclists and pedestrians are already delivering preliminary fuel savings of over 10%.
The new Range Cs will be used to deliver building and plumbing materials to sites, house builders, private homes, schools and the public sector within the M25 and extending to the Luton area via MP Moran’s Watford branch. The Renault Masters will transport smaller loads and be used for sites with more restricted access.
Martin Moran, Director at MP Moran, said, “We’ve had Renault product on our fleet since 2010 and we’ve been really impressed by their performance and reliability, with no major breakdowns, so we were keen to bring the new Euro-6 vehicles on board. Our drivers are really happy with the new trucks and have commented on the driver-friendly Range C cab. We’ve also started cross-referencing the fuel figures and we are noticing a preliminary fuel saving in excess of 10%. In fact we have been so impressed by the overall package from Renault Trucks that we are recommending them to all our contacts.”
Safer driving on London’s congested roads is a priority for MP Moran, and the enhanced safety features of the Range C also played a key role in the company’s vehicle purchase decision. Moran continued, “We particularly like the nearside glass vision door which is a brilliant safety feature and crucial to driving in London as it really helps the drivers to see cyclists.”
