News from Palletline: Palletline is calling on partners, customers and the trade to help it achieve its aim of giving a Christmas present to every child currently undergoing treatment for childhood neuroblastoma cancer in the UK.
At any point in time, roughly 200 children in the UK are undergoing treatment for the rare and aggressive form of cancer that attacks the nervous system. Palletline is encouraging individuals and firms nationwide to help by donating presents.
The campaign will act as a huge boost to its nominated charity Neuroblastoma Children’s Cancer Alliance UK (NCCA UK), which is running its own Cycling Santa’s initiative to distribute Christmas presents.
Iain Brown, Operations Director at Palletline said, “As part of our partnership with NCCA UK, Palletline is keen to deliver some festive cheer to the brave children that have to spend Christmas day in hospital while they undergo treatment. And we’re being extremely bold in our aim.
“We don’t want even one of these inspirational children to miss out, which is why we’re making a heartfelt plea to the trade to help Palletline meet its aim by donating new, wrapped presents that are clearly labelled for girls or boys of specific ages and dropping them into one of our local member branches or posting them to the hub.”
NCCA UK helps children access potentially life-saving treatment, supports research and works to introduce existing internationally available treatments to the UK. It also supports parents by sharing the latest information and providing access to other parents who want to share their knowledge and experiences.
Bettina Bungay-Balwah, Chief Executive of the NCCA UK said, “We cannot thank Palletline enough for providing this huge boost to our Cycling Santa’s Christmas campaign. We are confident that the donations Palletline gathers will significantly improve Christmas for children affected by neuroblastoma.”
In the event that a surplus of presents is donated, they will be distributed to other children on hospital wards and those at other stages of neuroblastoma treatment.
Donations should be dropped off or sent to: Cycling Santa, Palletline, Starley Way, Marston Green, Birmingham, B37 7HB.
