News from Terberg: Following a strategic policy decision made earlier this year by leading specialist manufacturer Terberg DTS UK, the Halifax company has adopted the IRTEC accreditation scheme throughout its operations.

This month saw the completion of the first stage of the ongoing IRTEC accreditation process with all Terberg technicians having now successfully completed the assessment process and receiving their IRTEC licenses.

Terberg DTS recognise the growing importance of the IRTEC scheme and as Alisdair Couper, Terberg’s Managing Director, comments, “IRTEC, which has been pioneered by the IRTE, is now nationally recognised as the premier technician accreditation scheme for the road transport industry. It is a hugely important volunteer scheme that provides technicians with formal recognition of their skills and knowledge, operating as an industry recognised benchmark of best practice.”

To earn the IRTEC licence, each Terberg technician went through a two-stage assessment of their theoretical and practical skills, and Terberg see this programme as a positive path of progression for both its employees and its customers, as the independently assessed accreditation will enhance the company’s quality, compliance and service delivery skills.

“Terberg’s commitment to IRTEC is a major move forward for us, which differentiates the company from many other service providers in our industry. By recognising and then further developing technical competence throughout the company with the IRTEC accreditation, we believe that our customers will benefit from the even higher standards and credibility of our service and maintenance capability,” added Couper.
